If you have any interest in brewing your own beer, mead, or cider, this is the club for you! Many of our members have been brewing for years and have a great deal of knowledge and experience to pass along on the art and science of brewing.

Membership Dues & Monthly Newsletter
Yearly dues are $25 which covers the cost of the Great Northern Brewers Club monthly electronic newsletter, "The Northern Brewer" . This will keep you up to date on all beer and brewing related activity around the State. The newsletter also includes articles from club members on a wide variety of brewing related topics. Membership fees also cover portions of the cost of Club activities such as meeting facilities, special events and guest speakers, competions, and other fees as apporoved by the Board of directors. Membership is renewed annually and is due in September.

Note: As of March 2007 all newsletters will be distributed electronically. You must provide a working email account to receive your newsletter! Accommodations will be made for members in rural areas or where internet access is prohibitively expensive.

Beer Judge Certification Program
The club is affiliated with the national Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) and offers a series of technical classes at least once each year (generally starting in October). These classes are designed to educate members in a wide variety of beer styles (there are over 60) and the techniques required to enhance beer appreciation. The 20+ hours of class time culminate in a three hour exam. Those passing receive national recognition and certification as Beer Judges.

Our regular meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month starting in September and ending in May at the Snowgoose starting at 7:00 PM.
